Shortbread

What is shortbread?

Shortbread, or shortie, is a traditional Scottish biscuit.
At it's core, we're talking Butter, Flour, Sugar, but we throw in a little salt and vanilla in there too. Despite what you may think, Shortbread is not bread, although it's origins started with extra bread dough being sweetened and dried out in the oven. The term "short" means crumbly, which is commonly used for pastries, pies, and tarts in the form of shortcrust. Shortbread is a very holiday focused but we're doing our part to change that.

our Signature shortbread

It's a Scottish family recipe we've developed into something special.
Our shortbread is soft, buttery, and delicious. All of our flavors come from the recipe originated by Grandma Masson. We've taken that, learned the techniques to make it perfect, and ran with it. We updated the recipe to add a little bit more finesse and flavor. When people try our shortbread we've heard them say things like "Oh my god" and "Yeah, that's insane". We're so happy to bring Scottish shortbread to Grand Rapids, MI
